MBSR Courses

The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program consists of twenty eight course hours and additional at-home practice over an eight-week period. Fall 2019 offerings include a Monday evening section.

Mindfulness is a focus on the present moment, on things happening right now. It is a state of active, open awareness to the here and now.

Meditation is self-acceptance. Through meditation, practitioners enter the quietness already in the mind. It is a practice in which the individual focuses their mind and intention upon the present moment.

Yoga and mindful movement

Yoga and mindful movement are forms of meditation - meditation in action. MBSR incorporates gentle movement to connect the mind and body through the vehicle of the breath. Participants listen to their body and its limitations.
